Maumee River Canoe Clean Up Day

Maumee Rentals of Antwerp, OH and BCS Management are pleased to announce the 2nd Annual Maumee River Clean Up Day in Fort Wayne which will occur on September 8, 2018 between 12-noon and 3pm.

Maumee Rentals and BCS Management are very pleased with the results of the 2017 inaugural river cleanup day! Several local businesses and members of the community volunteered their time and any chance of having clean shoes to give the first miles of the Maumee River a much needed cleanup. A lot of time was spent removing trash from the shore and pulling larger refuse, including tires and metal barrels, from the water. Others used canoes provided by Maumee Rentals, a new canoe livery based in nearby Antwerp, OH, to collect the islands of trash floating at the top of the river bends.

Time spent will be on removing trash from the banks and the river itself, as well as pulling invasive plants and reseeding when possible between the Hosey Dam and Kreager Park.  We hope to see you Saturday!
